Bog Gardens

So hubby and I went to Bog Gardens to find the waterfall I had heard about. The lighting under the trees was unusual. As part of my new 365 project (thanks Charity) I must post the two photos from today that made the cut.

Statue

I had totally forgotten about taking this photo a lil over a week ago and how much I liked it. I guess it had slipped through the cracks somehow. For some reason this statue reminded me of the robot child in the movie A.I and I felt bad for it. Silly me.

Clouds

So about a week ago my sister in law was telling me how she loves to take pictures of clouds, then just a few days after that my mother told me the same thing. I told my mother that I wasn't particularly interested in photographing clouds, as its usually the same ol thing over and over and there's only one angle you can shoot clouds from really... Well today I stuck my foot in my mouth, I went outside with the laptop to work a little on my website and was taken back by the clouds. It was a gorgeous day and great weather so I snapped a couple photos.

I also printed out a couple 4x6's and a couple 5x7's on my printer and was rather pleased with the quality all except some horizontal banding at the bottom/far right side of the photos. I cleaned the printer heads but still there, oh well, I hadn't intended on using my printer for business anyhow. I don't think it is economical or profitable to print from home. I already invested in a pack of expensive photo paper so I think I will use that to print the photos for my portfolio book. Why have an ink jet printer and photo paper if your not going to print at least a few photos, right?

Baby Ryan

I had the pleasure of photographing an old school friends brand new baby boy at the hospital yesterday. Albeit..the room was dark and I didn't want to use the flash so as not to disturb the baby, needless to say, some of the photos was a little noisy and I was not very pleased with the quality. Lesson learned, flash is necessary inside a hospital room.

Couples shoot

I did a couples shoot today. Our first attempt, a terrible storm came along including high winds, hail and more rain than I have ever seen...second attempt, we were successful. Here are my favorites from today.
